At First Presbyterian Church we are committed to being a place where Christian love is modeled. We do this through:

We invite you to join us in our joy and duty to make Christ known in Las Cruces and out to the ends of the Earth.
We meet together to worship on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
Our meeting address is 200 E. Boutz Las Cruces NM (in between Bravo Chevy and Las Cruces High School).
What to Expect:
Don’t worry about memorizing these! Just look for a deacon (they’ll have a nametag on them and will be by the doors before and after service) and they’ll gladly help you out. But, if you want to know ahead of time what to expect, we got you covered.
- Our services are more traditional (hymnals, bulletins, a choir and a pipe organ). But, we also strive to make it a warm and comfortable place that does not feel too rigid.
- There is no dress code. We’ll never put you on the spot either.
- Restrooms can be found near the South entrance to the sanctuary.
- Childcare is available during the service but we also welcome young disciples in the service too – as a parent, you know what your child(ren) needs and we’re here to support that.
- We are a confessional church meaning that we read together a confession of sins, an affirmation of faith, and the Lord’s prayer as a part of service each week.
- We believe the Good News of the Gospel is both “good” and “news!” It is the important message of Jesus Christ, not the story of our imperfections.
- Worship is typically followed by fellowship time in Jones Hall, and all are encouraged to attend.
- Feel free to call ahead during the week if you or a child would like to walk through the building ahead of time – this is a great option for children with sensory issues.
What if I’m nervous about going to a new church?
One of the things we think we do best here is make real friendships. So, feel free to call ahead at (575) 526-5559 during church office hours (M-F 9 AM to 2 PM). We would be more than happy to pair you up with someone who can meet you at the door, sit with you through the service, and otherwise be a friendly and familiar face for you.
